Repair And Construction Of Classic Adobe Bricks
Pat Friend with a life time of skills, experience, and education has studied the same minute clay particle for the last 30 years. She reminds people that in order to live in an earth friendly way, we need to consider that simple earthen and lime products have provided shelter for man since the beginning of time throughout the world.
Pat was educated at South West Solar Adobe School. She created an adobe brick manufacturing site in 1980 to produce certified adobe bricks, enough for ten adobe houses. Pat designed and constructed a county approved traditional style adobe home she has lived in since 1988. Her accomplishments include designing a library for an Indian Reservation. This library design was awarded $30,000. for brick manufacture, and $500,000. for construction.
Pat created an Adobe Site at Bell Gardens for Glen Bell. This site produced adobe bricks, entertained and educated over 100,000 people of all ages that visited our Adobe Site. During this period Pat conducted a market analysis regarding adobe and lime products. It was concluded that now is the time to seriously consider these least processed, economical, nonpolluting materials for construction. Proudly offering awareness to the youth through a web site www.adobebrickkits.com.
